Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through one of our forms.

• Project submissions. Your name, company, email, phone, and the project details you provide — location, sector, capital requirement, stage, funding position, description, and any document you attach.
• Capital-provider mandates. Your organisation, contact details, and the investment criteria you share — geography, sectors, instruments, ticket range, tenor, return and security requirements.
• General enquiries. Your name, organisation, contact details and your message.
• Technical information. Your IP address is recorded with each submission for security and abuse prevention.

Why we use it

• To assess whether a project fits the mandate of a capital provider in our network.
• To match opportunities against the criteria a capital provider has given us.
• To reply to you, and to keep you informed about the status of a submission.
• To meet legal, regulatory, know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to us.
• To protect the website from spam and abuse.

Who we share it with

Project information is shared with prospective capital providers under confidentiality and appropriate due-diligence procedures, and only for the purpose of assessing the opportunity. Where a submission identifies a specific project, we will not circulate it beyond what is reasonably required to obtain an indication of interest.

We do not share a capital provider's mandate details with other capital providers. We do not sell information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

We may share information with our professional advisers, or where we are required to by law, regulation, or a competent authority.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored on the hosting infrastructure that serves this website, and copies are sent by email to our business address. Uploaded documents are stored in a directory that is not publicly accessible.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions for as long as the opportunity or relationship is live, and afterwards for as long as we are required to for legal, regulatory or record-keeping purposes. Where a submission is declined and no relationship follows, we generally retain a minimal record of the decision and delete the supporting documentation.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email contact@orbiscapitalbvi.com quoting your reference number and we will respond.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie, a session cookie, which exists only to protect our forms against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal information, it expires when you close your browser, and it is strictly necessary for the forms to work. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google server when you load a page. If you would prefer no third-party requests at all, the fonts can be hosted locally instead.

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page.
